About Henry Birtles
Henry Birtles (1838-1907) was a popular Birmingham painter of landscapes and meadow scenes. He exhibited extensively between 1855 and 1900 at a number of galleries. including the RA, RBA, Dowdeswell Galleries, Walker Art Gallery – Liverpool, Manchester City Art Gallery, RHA and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours.
