Baron fine Art was established in Watergate Street, Chester in 1990 by partners Steve and Ruth Baron following 10 years of dealing in Fine Art. We sell a very wide variety of artwork in terms of style, medium, and price, new contemporary pieces where the paint is hardly dry, dating back through the last 200 years, the oldest currently in stock being painted around 1820.
The emphasis is on quality, whether an inexpensive etching, a painting or sculpture by a popular known artist the stock must be of a high standard.
We believe that different styles of artwork can be mixed in the home, to encourage this we have a wide variety of framing possibilities to enable the artwork to compliment your interior, and to show the artwork to best advantage.
Our framing is done on site in a workshop within the building and our framing is constantly evolving. Doing the framing ourselves means we are very sensitive to what is best for the artwork and its suitability in different interiors, and are happy to change frames to suit.
We would encourage you to visit the gallery, on several occasions. Taking your time relaxing and enjoying the artwork in friendly surroundings, where we are happy to give advice, and see which you may prefer on subsequent visits, and feel under no pressure to make a purchase.
We are happy to take paintings to your home to see if they may compliment your interior, or to visit the gallery outside normal hours.
Visitors from outside the EU will be entitled to a tax free export price on the artwork, we pack and send from the gallery. Making it convenient to have shipping arranged for you at cost, which is usually less than the VAT tax you get back.
On visiting the gallery before you leave, ensure you have seen all the stock on both floors, many of our fine large paintings and some sculpture are displayed in the basement where there is more room than the ground floor. If you only visit the ground floor, you have seen less than half the stock!
