About Alfred Augustus Glendening
Alfred A. Glendening (1840-1921) began his career as a railway clerk before becoming one of the most popular Victorian landscape artists. Glendening often painted scenes of the British Isles, favouring the dramatic landscapes of the Isle of Wight, The Thames and The South Downs.
