About William Minshall Birchall
William M. Birchall was born in 1884 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA. He was well known as a Marine painter and often painted in watercolour. Birchall later moved to Liscard, Cheshire. He exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool and one of his paintings was even purchased by King Gustav of Sweden.
