About David Dipnall

David Dipnall was born in Scotland during the early years of WWII and attended Portsmouth Grammar School. He is a contemporary artist whose work is probably best characterised by his paintings of the Southern English landscape. Dipnall began a career in Engineering Design but gave this up by 1968 when he and his wife, Audrey, settled in Australia for five years. Overseas Dipnall worked in product design before later teaching at a Grammar School, all the while painting in his spare time. On his return to England in the summer of 1974, Dipnall finally began painting professionally in response to the demand for his work. He is now an established leading landscape artist with his work regularly on best seller lists. His works are instantly recognisable and are always very evocative English landscape scenes.

David Dipnall is a recognised British landscape artist both nationally and internationally and in 2002 he was awarded the Best-Selling Published Artist Award with over fifty of his works now published as limited edition prints.
