About Brian Eden
Brian Eden is a 20th Century British artist. Eden grew up in Liverpool, attending the Liverpool School of Art on a scholarship at just age 13. It was during his four years here that his talent and passion for painting was both realised and developed.
Eden began working professionally in the art sphere almost immediately upon completing his studies. He started working as a graphic designer for a Liverpool based company, while freelancing as a painter. Eden experimented with several different mediums in his early years, but as he progressed in his career began just to use watercolour. Mid career Eden completed two years of National Service with the Marine Commandos, during this time he continued to draw and paint whenever possible.
His superb draughtsmanship is the ‘key’ to the quality of his paintings, combined with good use of colour and meticulous attention to detail. Many of his paintings often portray the beauty of Victorian England and his highly individual watercolours continue to be avidly sought by collectors both in the United Kingdom and abroad.
