About Tony Forrest
Tony Forrest is a contemporary British wildlife artist and has been painting for over 35 years. He is well known for his oil paintings of the natural world, mainly in places like Africa and India. Very often he will make quick sketches when he’s on location in Africa. He has also explored many other areas of the world which has inspired his artwork, including the coasts of Cornwall and the wonders of Venice.
He believes his paintings serve a reminder that the wildlife with which we share this planet is in danger of being lost for ever unless we all appreciate it and take positive steps to conserve it.
Forrest has had many of his paintings published and exhibited in some of the most prestigious galleries in the country, including Harrods in London. One of his early exhibitions of wildlife with a much celebrated gallery was an immediate sell-out. His work has hung in the Mall Galleries in London and galleries in Florida USA. Forrest has also donated paintings to Tusk, Born Free Foundation and Africat in Namibia raising thousands of pounds for conservation projects.
