About Fritz Wagner
Fritz Wagner (1896-1939) was born in Zurich, Switzerland. He was a painter of still life, landscapes and often scenes with merchants and cavaliers. He painted a lot of interior scenes with such detail on stained glass, fine pottery and a model galleon hanging from the ceiling. He even had the great skill of painting the interaction between the characters.
Despite his Swiss origin, he worked at the German School of Painters. He travelled throughout Europe, and studied at the Academie de la Brera de Milan.
