About Peter Burridge
Peter Burridge was born in 1960, in Taunton, Somerset. He studied at Solihull College of Art and then went on to a degree course at Birmingham Polytechnic. During this time, he was awarded a scholarship to Italy where he was introduced to the process of etching and printmaking.
In 1983, he decided to set up his own printmaking studio.
His work is very detailed and can take months to produce, using the “soft ground” technique which creates a soft texture. He takes inspiration from sunny Mediterranean patios to Warwickshire landscapes.
Since 1983 his work regularly exhibits in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. His prints are represented in collections across the globe. In 1992 he moved his studio to Gloucestershire and also runs two busy galleries with his wife.
