Roy Miller was born in Manchester in 1938 and began his career in commercial art at the age of 14. He studied at the Manchester College of Art and later moved to London, where he exhibited in numerous exhibitions, including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 1961.
Miller is a member of both the American Academy of Equestrian Art and the Society of Equestrian Artists, and he has won awards with both groups.
His work has been featured in prestigious venues such as the Hong Kong Jockey Club and the Queens Stand at Epsom. Miller’s art has been commissioned for leading figures and organizations in the racing world across the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Ireland, Australia & New Zealand.
Additionally his paintings have been used for fundraising purposes by the Injured Jockeys Fund.
