Artist Biography
About Henry Redmore
Recognised as one of the finest 19th Century marine artists, Henry Redmore was born and lived in Hull where he specialised in painting shipping activities in the Humber estuary and off the Yorkshire coast, also in the harbours of Whitby and Scarborough. He also painted ports in Devon and Cornwall, and the estuaries of Holland and Germany.
He exhibited at the Royal Academy and is in the permanent collection of the Ferens Art Gallery, Hull.
